Hypnotherapy, Counselling and Equine Involvement Therapy

About Jo Corfield

Hypnotherapy

Hello there, and thank you for reading beyond the Home page,

I run a successful Combination Therapy Facility in Oxfordshire.

I founded Equine Involvement Therapies on the belief, that everyone can be, and has the right to be happy, and that to be effective, and able to truly empathize when helping others through their problems, it makes a huge difference to have experienced and overcome some of your own.

I have a deep fascination and love of people, and a passion for horses and their exceptional ability to help people, including myself, through difficulties, problems and traumas. Both people and the horses have been a constant source of inspiration to me.

My own personal experiences and my quest to know more, led me to train and qualify as a clinical hypnotherapist with the National Hypnotherapy Council and to study hynoanalysis in depth, with a leading expert in the field. Learning how to heal people even more effectively by accessing the unconscious mind opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me to work with.

I also decided I needed to experience an intensive course of hypnotherapy treatment so that I could feel what my clients were going through, and when training as a counsellor we were expected to have counselling ourselves, so that we could view the therapy from both angles. That and my personal knowledge of the efficiency of Equine Involvement Therapy gave me a great deal of insight into what my clients would be feeling.

Further studies and qualifications include, counselling, NLP, Stress Management, essential training and skills in CBT, Nature Guided Therapy, Relaxation Techniques, Mindful Meditation, Thought Management Therapy and Self- leadership. All of which have provided me with an endless supply of knowledge to add to my approaches and techniques.

I needed to know much more about the incredible therapeutic potential my horses were offering to me, so I extensively, studied and researched equine psychology, and the unique beneficial ability horses have, to reflect back to us our inner emotions, and the lessons we can learn from them, on how to re-connect with who we really are.

My small herd of 7 horses and ponies have given me an enormous amount of rich material to study, and the combination of human and equine psychology have helped me form the foundations of Equine Involvement Therapies.

These beautiful animals have given me an endless source of rich material to study and have helped me form the foundations of Equine Involvement Therapy with the combination of Human and equine psychology.

Whilst training as a clinical hypnotherapist I felt it was important to experience for myself what my clients would be experiencing, so I undertook some extensive one to one sessions and treatments with two very different but both highly regarded, Harley street hypnotherapists. My main focus and interest lies in Regression analytical and Cognitive Behavioural hypnotherapy and specific forms of hypnotherapy to treat Eating Disorders. I am constantly adding to my knowledge, with research and learning of new and ever changing ideas.

Please do feel free to ring me with any questions you may have, or to talk to me about your problems and how you would like me to help you.

I will do everything I can to make the decision to call me as easy for you as possible.
